Hui Aloha ʻĀina o Las Vegas gave an outstanding presentation this year, at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum, about Lā Kūʻokoa, the most important holiday in the Hawaiian Kingdom. Celebrated annually since November 28, 1843, this is the day when Great Britain and France, by joint proclamation, formally recognized the independence of the Hawaiian Kingdom as a sovereign State. Thus, becoming the first non-European member of the Family of Nations.
